Cowlitz PUD’s commercial/industrial conservation program has helped 100s of local businesses and industries to reduce electric usage, by providing financial incentives to insulate and install more efficient lighting and motors. Overall in 2008 the PUD invested $2.2 million in energy conservation programs for all customers, made available with credits provided by BPA conservation programs funded through utility rates.

Commercial Sector Customers:

Currently we offer funding to improve inefficient lighting systems. Please review our CEEP Plus Lighting Offer or CEEP-Plus Custom Project Program for more information and to find out how you can utilize this PUD conservation incentive program. Please note that a simple agreement (between the Customer and Cowlitz PUD) needs to be signed BEFORE starting on the project in order to qualify for incentives.

Industrial Sector Customers:

We also offer funding for custom energy efficiency improvement projects on industrial processes. Please review our EnergySPICE Plus brochure for more details. NEMA Premium Efficiency Motors:

Finally, we offer simple deemed incentive rebates for the purchase of NEMA Premium Efficiency TM motors. The purpose is to encourage the purchase of more efficient motors as opposed to rewinding older less-efficient motors.
