Cowlitz PUD’s residential energy conservation program has helped
thousands of customers reduce their electric usage since 1982, by
providing financial incentives to insulate walls, floors and ceilings,
replace windows, install thermostats, weatherstripping, etc. The PUD
has re-invested $47 million in its energy conservation programs over
the years, largely made available by energy conservation funding
provided by the Bonneville Power Administration. BPA collects these
funds through its electric rates.
Please review the
Residential Weatherization Plus
Program guidelines for more information and to find out how you
can utilize PUD conservation incentives.
The PUD program also now offers increased incentives for new thermal pane windows in homes occupied by
qualified low-income customers
-- in many cases the incentives pay for the full cost of new windows.
