To assist us in restoring your power as quickly as possible, we ask that customers please report outages through SmartHub by clicking the orange\u00a0<span style=\"color: #f99b1c;\"><strong>Report an Outage\/Inquiry<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0button in SmartHub.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting an outage through SmartHub is easy and will instantly report your outage in our system, whether it&#8217;s a widespread storm event or just your power.<\/p>\n<p>Follow the directions below to submit an outage.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-39710 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cowlitzpud.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/SmarthubOutageReport-714x800.png\" alt=\"1. Typically a power outage will last 2-4 hours, but in severe weather conditions can last all day or more. If you&#8217;re prepared for an outage it is much easier to endure.<\/p>\n<p>Plan ahead and make sure you have the following items on hand:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 2-3 day supply of canned\/packaged food and fresh water (bottled)<\/li>\n<li>Blankets<\/li>\n<li>Flashlight and radio, with fresh batteries.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you know where they are to make it easy to find them in the dark!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Additional Quick Tips<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure to have a &#8220;corded&#8221; telephone available and a phone jack to plug it into.<\/li>\n<li>Cordless phones do not work when the power is off.<\/li>\n<li>Know how to operate your garage door manually.<\/li>\n<li>Electric garage doors will not work when the power is off.<\/li>\n<li>Teach your kids to never touch a downed line and to tell an adult if they see one.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more times, visit our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cowlitzpud.org\/outages\/what-to-do-during-an-outage\/\">Outages and Safety page<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Outage Alert Hotline 844.965.1319<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cowlitzpud.org\/outages\/\"><strong>View Outage Center<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Storm season is upon us.
