Cowlitz PUD adheres to Federal Red Flag Rules. These rules are in place to protect your identity. When you contact our customer service office, before conducting any business on your account we will first verify your identity with only a name and the last four digits of your social security number, or if you prefer, a 4-digit PIN number that you create. To set it up the first time we will also ask your date of birth. We appreciate your assistance to make it work.
The Cowlitz PUD will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent.
The Cowlitz PUD will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.
The information we hold will be accurate and up-to-date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it in a timely fashion.
Your personal information will never be sold to a Third party. Credit card information is shared with an authorized financial service (NOVA Networks) in order to process a payment transaction. This information may also be shared within the District.
In addition to the sharing of personal information listed above, we may release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law or law enforcement; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Cowlitz PUD, other users, or others.
